Wayne grew up in Sarnia Ontario and started playing old time fiddle at the age of 12. He competed for many years in the Ontario fiddle contest’s up until he was 19 then started playing in country and bluegrass bands.
Wayne has been a “go to” musician for many years on fiddle and mandolin for both bluegrass and country music playing and recording with such artists as Terry Sumpsion, Johnny Burke, Harold MacIntyre, Rick Jones, Honi Deaton, Don Rigsby , Blue Mule, Hard Ryde, Traditionally Wound… just to name a few.
As well as playing with The Barn Katz he also plays with The Good Brothers when time permits. Wayne resides in Gravenhurst, Ontario.
